Prepare a consistent diagnosis catalog using the names approved by your clinic. Start with the names, then review any optional links and instruction text with the team responsible for the catalog.

These are catalog records. Preparing or saving them does not diagnose a patient, record a patient treatment or dispense inventory.

Download your preparation sheet

Both downloads are blank UTF-8 preparation sheets, with one row per diagnosis. CSV upload in Catalog import currently supports Inventory only. Enter diagnoses manually in the Diagnosis tab, or coordinate the completed sheet with your onboarding team. Do not upload this sheet as inventory.

Name is the required field

Use Name for the exact term your clinic wants in the catalog. A simple preparation row could look like:

Name
Clinic-approved diagnosis label

The shared catalog validator recognizes supported English and Spanish headers, including Name / Nombre, Tags / Etiquetas and Instructions / Instrucciones, plus internal field names. The diagnosis names, linked record names and instruction text are preserved; changing the app language does not translate them. There is no diagnosis-type code to invent or translate. Do not include two language versions of the same column.

Review synonyms and spelling variants with your clinical team. Keep the original list and resolve duplicates before creating records.

Optional fields in the full sheet

Field What to prepare
Tags Catalog labels for your clinic, as a comma-separated list or JSON text list.
Inventory Group Existing inventory groups that should be linked. Multiple groups are supported.
Inventory Existing specific products to link. Multiple items are supported.
Service Existing services to link. Multiple services are supported.
Instructions Approved plain text associated with the catalog diagnosis. This is a text field, not a list of instruction-template references.

In the Spanish sheet these columns are Nombre, Etiquetas, Grupo de Inventario, Inventario, Servicio and Instrucciones. Avoid patient-specific information in a shared catalog instruction.

Prepare links before saving diagnoses

Save suppliers and groups first, then the linked inventory and services, then diagnoses. Choose existing records in the Diagnosis editor. When preparing the sheet, use exact names or record IDs from the same clinic; do not copy IDs from another clinic.

For several links in one field, use comma-separated names or a JSON text list. For example, ["Group A","Group B"] describes two groups. Use JSON when a record name itself contains a comma, such as ["Product, presentation A"]. Export the spreadsheet as CSV so cells containing commas receive the required outer quotes.

A missing or ambiguous name must be resolved before saving. Writing a name in the sheet does not create that related record. Linking a group and linking one specific product are different choices; the clinic should confirm which association it wants and review how it is used in its workflow.

This sheet has no dose, quantity, stock, price or tax columns. Keep those details in their appropriate inventory, service or patient workflows.

Review and save

As an administrator, open Inventory > Manage > Add (+) > Import and choose Diagnosis. Review the clinic, name, optional links and instruction text. Save locally retains a browser draft for that clinic and user; download a backup before clearing storage. It creates no diagnosis record until Save Records is confirmed.

Saving creates new records in batches of up to 20. Successful rows remain saved if a later row fails; fix and retry remaining rows from the same draft. The page does not merge or overwrite existing diagnoses.
